Love your newsletters and the way you share about your life. Congratulations on finishing your books! Incredible! Remember our encounters well at leadership durham, long time ago! I have also heard about Andrea through some of my former triathlon friends in NC and would love to read her book.
you've got it! and of course I remember you :) Will you message me with your email? You can just reply to the newsletter and I'll get it! or DM me on Instagram :)
I usually get back into it through a friend who enthusiastically tells me about a book I HAVE to read! But also, just watch some TV, go to an art museum, listen to music. Books will be there when you get back.
First, CONGRATULATIONS on finishing *TWO* manuscripts -- holy bananagrams, woman!! I love love love your writing and can't wait to dive into (and promote) your work. I totally get the disenchantment with the book sausage (been there, done that), but I'm sure it'll come back -- maybe read fiction, something that you can't compare with your own not-yet-published project? That is my problem, anyway. Sending much love and thanks for sharing our book :)
Hi Jessica! Love your newsletter! I would like to enter the giveaway for the book Feed the Baby by Victoria Facelli. I would love to read it since I’m expecting my first baby in February 2024!❤️ I, too, have been getting back into the joy of reading since I’ve been pulled away by multiple years of grueling fertility treatments and working as a psychotherapist full time. Now that I’m in a different place, it’s been a slow reintroduction. The best way that has helped me get that joy back it by reading poetry and lots of it! I know you’re a fellow poetry reader-lover, which is great. I read at least one poem a day and sometimes that kick starts other reading or writing for myself.
Three replies. I could have done this differently! Anyway! you won! Will you send me your email address? There is a contact form on my website www.jessicaslice.com or you can reply to the newsletter or you can find me on IG!
Hi Jessica! Sorry for my very very long delay in responding. I recently had a baby girl in February and now in the throes of learning to take of a newborn. In terms of poetry, I still manage to squeeze in some reading. Lately I’ve been loving poems by Molly Peacock. Her book ‘Cornucopia’ is awesome. And there is also the fantastic book ‘Bianca’ by Eugenia Leigh. Hope this helps!
